Port Solent is a marina situated on the north side of Portsmouth. With a real mediteraninan feel to it, there are lots of restaurants and cafes set along the boardwalk offering a great atmosphere.
If you are looking for a place to go for lunch or dinner it's perfect; especially when the sun is shining as nothing beats sitting outside looking out over the marina and watching all the boats sailing in and out of the marina.
An Odeon cinema is on site along with a David Lloyd leisure centre. If you are a DL member elsewhere, of course you know you have free entry and if not, they do offer a day pass for £25pp - worth it if you are in the mood to spend a day by a lovely outdoor pool finished off by a sauna and jacuzzi or if your up for it a work out in its state of the art gym.
O Sole Mio and Casa Basil are our favourites; the first being a family run Italian which does the best fried calamari. Casa Brasil is a carnivore's dream. £22.00 per head (children are half price), you have unlimited access to their incredible Brazilian salad bar followed by as much meat as you can eat. The meat is bought to your table and sliced by the waiter in front of you - a combination of steak, lamb, chicken, pork and, turkey along with the famous bbq pineapple which is family fav for us.
If bringing your boat into the marina is something your looking to do, you can get overnight berthing passes which start at £3.10 per m per night. Contact Premier Marina for more information.
