The girls in town have taken up golf at the Royal St David's Golf Course in Harlech. I have to say, it is not a sport that has ever really 'spoken' to me, however, having turned down the opportunity to join the group, when the photo came through of Freya's 'golfing shoes' alongside the neon coloured golf balls, I decided I was missing out on golfing Snowdonia Style...

I don't think I will ever become a die-hard golfer completing 18 holes - I wouldn't be able to stand up to that amount of concentration - but for any one that likes golf, then Snowdonia has an incredible offering with 7 courses available; that's a week of unadulterated golf on some of the most beautiful courses in the world...


The Abersoch Golf Club, nicknamed a 'jewel on the Welsh Riviera', was designed by Harry Varden and opened in 1908. It is an 18 hole links and parkland course with stunning views. It has recently been placed 17th best golf course in Wales and has been voted the friendliest!


The Bala Golf Club has a 10 hole course is situated 1000 above sea level, giving incredible views of the surround mountains and countryside. Booking is available online and green fees start from £15.


The Criccieth Golf Club was the home playing ground of David Lloyd George (one of the founding members) and has seen the likes of Sir Winston Churchill play there. This 18 hole course is known for its panoramic views of the cambrian coast and the 9th tee is said to have the most magnificent view you’ll see anywhere.


The Dolgellau Golf Club is a 9 hole course. Over looked by Cadr Idris, it overs truly spectacular views. It warns not to be put off by it's length as it is a challenging course!


The home to one of the first links golf courses, Royal St Davids Golf Course was played on by no other than King Edward VI. Listed in the top 100 golf course in the world, this 18 hole course really is stunning with mountain and sea views.


Created in 1906, The Porthmadog Golf Course is a mix of heathland and links and as it has a place on the 'Fine Golf Website' the views on this 18 hole course, are of course beautiful.


Clwb Golff Pwllheli was founded in 1900 and is a unique 18 hole course offering both tree lined parkland and a links golfing experience. The golf club offers views of the Cambrian Coast, Snowdonia Mountains and the Llyn Peninsula....
